School-Age Gymnastics Coach

Position Type: Part-time (afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends)
Pay: $21.30–$25/hour (DOE)

Discover Gymnastics is a new neighborhood gym in Ballard focused on joyful movement, skill development, and positive experiences for kids and families. We’re seeking an enthusiastic School-Age Gymnastics Coach to lead recreational classes for children ages 5–12.
Our school-age program emphasizes strong fundamentals, safe skill progressions, and confidence-building in a supportive, inclusive environment. Classes are structured, energetic, and fun — designed to meet kids where they are and help them grow through movement.
We provide lesson plans, class structure, and ongoing support so you can focus on teaching, connecting with athletes, and creating a positive class experience.
What You’ll Do
Lead 50-minute recreational gymnastics classes for school-age athletes using provided lesson plans and skill progressions
Create a safe, positive, well-managed class environment that encourages effort and growth
Teach fundamental gymnastics skills with clear instruction and appropriate progressions
Communicate professionally and positively with families before and after class
Help care for equipment and keep the gym clean and welcoming
Assist with Open Gym or birthday parties as available
Who You Are
You enjoy working with school-age children and helping them build confidence through movement
You value safety, consistency, and positive coaching
You’re comfortable leading a group and managing a class setting
You’re reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
You have CPR/First Aid certification (or are willing to obtain)
Previous gymnastics, coaching, or youth-focused experience is helpful but not required - we’re happy to train the right person

Discover Gymnastics is a new neighborhood gym in Ballard focused on joyful movement, skill development, and positive experiences for kids and families. We’re seeking an energetic Ninja & Obstacle Course Coach to lead movement-based classes for children ages 5–12.
Our ninja program focuses on strength, coordination, agility, balance, and confidence through obstacle courses, skill challenges, and creative movement. Classes are structured, active, and fun — designed to help kids build physical skills while developing perseverance and self-confidence in a supportive environment.
We provide lesson plans, class structure, and ongoing support so you can focus on coaching, encouraging effort, and creating a positive class experience.
What You’ll Do
Lead 50-minute ninja classes for school-age athletes using provided lesson plans and obstacle progressions
Set up and safely supervise obstacle courses and movement challenges
Create a safe, positive, well-managed class environment that encourages effort and problem-solving
Teach skills with clear instruction and appropriate progressions
Communicate professionally and positively with families before and after class
Help care for equipment and keep the gym clean and welcoming
Assist with Open Gym or birthday parties as available
Who You Are
You enjoy working with school-age children and helping them build confidence through movement
You value safety, consistency, and positive coaching
You’re comfortable leading active, high-energy classes
You’re reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
You have CPR/First Aid certification (or are willing to obtain)
Experience in ninja, parkour, gymnastics, climbing, martial arts, fitness, or youth sports is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train the right person

Front Desk & Member Experience Coordinator

Discover Gymnastics is a new neighborhood gym in Ballard focused on joyful movement, skill development, and positive experiences for kids and families. We’re seeking a friendly, organized Front Desk & Member Experience Coordinator to be the first point of contact for families in our gym.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and creating a calm, welcoming environment. You’ll help families check in, answer questions, support daily operations, and keep the front lobby running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Greet families and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Manage class check-in and day-to-day front desk operations
Answer questions about programs, schedules, policies, and registration
Assist with enrollments, payments, and account questions
Communicate clearly with coaches and gym leadership
Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby
Support Open Gym sessions, birthday parties, and special events as needed
Who You Are
You enjoy working with families and children in a busy, friendly environment
You’re organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking
You communicate clearly and calmly, even during busy times
You’re reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
You’re comfortable learning new systems and processes
Previous experience in customer service, childcare, education, or fitness is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train the right person
